Kyrgyzstan presented an aide memoire in support of its candidature for membership of the Council for the period 2016-2018 in June 2015.
The document contains few specific pledges, including the commitments to ratify CRPD and to encourage dialogue and constructive cooperation in the Council, taking into account country-specific and region-specific cultural and historical traditions.
An analysis of steps taken by Kyrgyzstan in fulfilment of its international pledges shows that it participated in 26% Council debates and interactive dialogues. Kyrgyzstan has not yet ratified the CRPD.
