Libya tabled voluntary pledges and commitments in support for its candidacy for membership for the period 2010-2013 on 28 April 2010. In the document, Libya did not include any specific, verifiable and measurable pledges. It did however commit to: work through regional human rights mechanisms; realise the right to development as a fundamental human right; support UN programmes; cooperate with UN member States; and strengthen cooperation with civil society organisations and NGOs at national, regional and international levels.
